PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKS Istra-E (68N6E code) mobile solid three-dimensional side-scan ultra-high frequency band all-altitude air-borne target detection radar station with the phased antenna (FA) and digital diagramming.   The RS is designed for radar observation of the air space, inclusive of the low-altitude, provision of the information for combat operations of the aircraft, anti-aircraft and missile systems of different types, for en-route support of the civil aircraft for the benefit of air traffic control (ATC). The RS is capable to operate both under non-jamming conditions and under active and passive jamming.

SPECIFIC FEATURES

The RS has the following specific features:

• RS equipment ensures high extent of automation of target detection and operation control processes;
• it ensures recognition of the target classes based upon energy, correlation, spectrum and path signs;
• it has high jamming resistance due to different operation modes and signal processing algorithms;
• integrated automated operational control system allows for continuous fault detection and RS condition data output.
