The system has the capability to acquire the targets both independently and with automated target acquisition. | PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKSSosna AAMS is designed for hitting the aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, slide aircraft bombs, unmanned air vehicles and soft-skin ground vehicles.
The system is used for tracking the traveling columns, defense of the fixed facilities, check-points, air fields, bridges, armored tank and other vehicles.
ARMAMENT
The missile armament and single optic-electronic armament control system inclusive of target detection and tracking, missile control equipment, are arranged on a single combat vehicle.
The firing head is designed as the completed launcher ensuring capability of its arrangement on different from 3.5 t capacity carriers.
The system utilizes the missile armament inclusive of 12 high-speed high-precision anti-aircraft guided missiles ready for launching. Small missile weight ensured exclusion of transporter loader from the system. |
