SPECIFIC FEATURES

• the missile implements the “fire-and-forget” concept ensuring the pilot sufficient maneuverability;
• the missile guidance system is passive TV, it implements the combined control technique within the short-range and long-rage homing sections following target acquisition at the station under the carrier aircraft;
• the warhead is high-explosive penetrating, the fuze is contact.

PURPOSE

Kh-29TE air-to-surface missile with TV homing head and target image transmission to the aircraft compartment indicator is designed for hitting the difficult ground targets (major motor and railway bridges, industrial facilities, concrete runways, reinforced concrete aircraft shelters) and surface targets.
