Il-76MD-90A(E) aircraft is equipped with the up-to-date avionics, inclusive of the new generation navigation and targeting system. The aircraft drop and transportation equipment includes the drop-down loading ramp, air-borne pull winches, electric hoists, ramp extensions, light runway roller tracks, cargo release system ensuring single and sequential cargo and vehicle platform dropping, side and removable central seats for people transportation.
In addition, the aircraft cargo compartment may accommodate stretchers for transportation of injured and critical persons, special-purpose medical modules for intensive care of critical persons and fire-fighting spray units. | PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKSIl-76MD-90A(E) air-lifter is designed for transportation of troops, cargoes, military vehicles and armament, for air dropping and air landing the personnel, cargoes, military vehicles and armament.
Il-76MD-90A(E) ensures efficient performance of tasks related to transportation of the personnel, cargoes, inclusive of the large-size cargoes, military vehicles, dropping the personnel, cargoes and military vehicles, delivery of ammunition, food, fuel, injured persons and patients, fire-fighting and containment.
The aircraft takes off and lands on the concrete and natural ground airfields.
Il-76MD-90A(E) may be re-equipped for ambulance and water bomber versions.
