Head of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation: the Army-2021 Forum resulted in over 2 billion euro's worth of contracts

The value of contracts signed at the International Military-Technical Forum Army-2021 exceeded two billion euro, said Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), in an interview with Zvezda's correspondent Alexey Samoletov.

"It's already possible to say right now that the sum of the contractual documents signed here exceeds two billion euro. That's a serious figure: we've never seen anything like it before. It's a breakthrough; something that we are really proud of. Among the contract signatories, are our traditional partners and closest neighbors: Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and, of course, India, China, and Myanmar. We are trendy right now. This is just day three, we are far from finished," Mr. Shugaev commented.

He also added that the forum provides negotiation opportunities, accounting for logistics and creating a comfortable meeting environment. In addition, he highlighted the customers' keen interest towards a variety of military craft, including the T-90MS tank, the Antey-4000 surface-to-air missile complex, the Mi-17 and Mi-28NM helicopter families, and different firearms. According to the FSMTC director, Russia's state-of-the-art single-engine fighter aircraft, Checkmate, will be in great demand abroad.
