on the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference
«SOFEX - 2018»
The Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference «SOFEX - 2018» will be held on May 8-10, 2018 in Amman (Jordan) at the airbase named after King Abdullah I – Mark.
The exhibition is being held since 1996 under the auspices of the King of Jordan Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein and His Royal Highness General-Lieutenant Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein.
The main thematic areas – means of communication, equipment for anti-terrorist operations, military field medicine, means for mine clearing, equipment and materiel for rapid reaction forces, special transport means for the personnel, land navigation systems.
The organizer of the Russian exposition of the military-purpose products is JSC «Rosoboronexport». Stands of JSC «Rosoboronexport», «High-precision weapons» and JSC «Logos» will be placed on the area of 216 sq. meters.
The wide range of developments of the domestic defence production, formed with consideration for requirements on the market of the Middle East region.
In all, 153 exhibits of the military-purpose products, including 33 samples, will be represented.
Among them: antitank guided missile from the composition of
Khrizantema-S system, antiaircraft missile from the composition of Verba manportable air defence missile system, Shmel-M reactive infantry flamethrower with extended range and power, AGS-30 automatic grenade launcher system,
PP-2000 submachine gun, MTs-116M and OSV-96 sniper rifles and other special arms, supplied for export.
Besides that, in the form of models and advertizing material the information will be represented on TOS-1 heavy flamethrower system, Typhoon-K KAMAZ-53949 family armored vehicle, T-90MS tank, BMPT tank support combat vehicle, BMP-3 infantry combat vehicle, Kalashnikov assault rifles and other Russian materiel which is traditionally in high demand with foreign customers.
JSC «Central Research Institute «Burevestnik» at the stand of Iranian «King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau» (KADDB) will demonstrate the full-sized exhibits of 57-mm AU-220M combat module on chassis of Al-Mared armored personnel carrier and 30-mm 32V1 combat module on chassis of Al-Wash armored personnel carrier.
Meetings and negotiations with the representatives of other countries on the issues of current and perspective projects are planned within the framework of the exhibition schedule.
