on the ceremonial reception of the ambassadors and military attaches of
the foreign states
The ceremonial reception of the ambassadors and military attaches of
the foreign states took place on May 15, 2018 in Moscow on the occasion of the 65 anniversary of creation of system of public administration of military-technical cooperation (further - MTC) of the Russian Federation with foreign states.
The representatives of the federal executive bodies of the Russian Federation, the leadership of FSMTC of Russia, State Corporation «Rostec»,
JSC «Rosoboronexport», ambassadors and military attaches of the foreign states took part in the event which was held in «President Hotel».
Addressing guests with a welcoming speech, D.E.Shugaev, Director of FSMTC of Russia, noted that for 65 years the system of MTC constantly improved, answering realities of the world market of arms and military equipment (further – the MTC). Annually expanding geography of deliveries and the nomenclature of the military-purpose products, Russia became one of the international leaders in the volume of export of the MTC.
The Director of FSMTC of Russia emphasized that, in spite of the increasing cases of unfair competition and even the attempts of bringing open pressure on the partners, Russia with full responsibility approaches fulfillment of its obligations to them and, supplying the military-purpose products to the foreign countries, first of all, helps them to strengthen their national security.
The Director of FSMTC of Russia also drew attention that, at the present stage, Russia and its international partners are on the threshold of the new stage of cooperation, characterized by transfer from execution of the supply contracts to realization of complex measures on provision of military security of the foreign customers. Annually, the practice of joint international projects expands, the share of programs on joint development of samples of arms with their subsequent production and complex maintenance increases.
In conclusion, D.E.Shugaev thanked all the guests for participation in the ceremonial event and noted the following: «I hope that nice traditions of the past and confidential character of our relations in the field of the MTC will become the reliable base of future cooperation».
During the ceremonial reception the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and JSC «Rosoboronexport» also congratulated the participants.
