Russian MPP exhibitions
Foreign customers can familiarize themselves with the capabilities and performance of Russian military purpose products at MPP exhibitions held within the Russian Federation.
Subject to resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation or FSMTC, between six and eight exhibitions are held annually. These exhibitions offer foreign manufacturers opportunities to display their latest developments and competitive products, and establish mutually advantageous contacts for MPP joint manufacturing.
The largest Russian MPP exhibitions are:
International “MAKS” aerospace show, held at Zhukovsky, Moscow Oblast;
International Maritime Defense Show (IMDS) in St.-Petersburg; and
International Defense Exhibition of Land Forces “IDELF”, in Moscow;
Russian FSMTC is the organizer of IDELF and co-organizer of two security support exhibitions: the “Interpolitekh” international exhibition of state security facilities and the “Integrated Security” show.
The Russian Federation operates the following procedure for foreign participants to display MPP models at Russian MPP exhibitions:
1. The organizer of an exhibition:
informs foreign partners of a title, subject, location and dates of an exhibition;
compiles a list of foreign made MPP (based on applications of foreign participants);
submits the list to the Russian Ministry of Defense for approval;
obtains from Russian FSMTC licenses for temporary importation of foreign make MPP models; and
verifies third party liability insurance agreements.
2. A foreign participant:
submits to the organizer 2 months prior to the beginning of an exhibition an offer for a range and quantity of MPP subject to temporary importation; and
enters into an agreement for leasing exhibition space and rendering other services.
To visit exhibitions, foreign participants are registered with the organizer of an exhibition as an independent exhibitor or an official delegation. |
