PACIFIC 2013 international exhibition of maritime and naval technology to the Asia Pacific Region kicked off in Sydney (Australia). It features maritime and naval technology, shipbuilding, port equipment, and repair and technical equipment.
Since its inception in 2000, the Exhibition has been held biannually.
Displays will be presented by more than 400 participating exhibitor companies from 17 countries.
The Exhibition will be dedicated to the centenary celebration of the Royal Australian Navy. About 30 navy and 12 civil ships will participate in the International Fleet Review.
An official delegation headed by V.A. Artemiev, Chief of the FSMTC of Russia Division for relations with defense enterprises and supervision for long-term projects, including officials of the Rostechnologii (Rostec) State Corporation, Rosoboronexport OAO and Russian shipbuilders, will officially represent Russia at the Exhibition.
The Russian delegation plans a number of meetings with military officials and policy makers of Australia and other regional states.
Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation expresses its hope that PACIFIC 2013 international exhibition of maritime and naval technology to the Asia Pacific Region will help develop and strengthen military and technical relations and cooperation between Russia and foreign partners.
