April 21 – 24, in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), the 11th International Defense Services Asia Exhibition, DSA 2008, will be held.
Since 1988, the biennial Exhibition has been held under patronage of the Ministry of Defense of Malaysia, and it is one of the largest exhibition of arms and military hardware of land forces, AD troops, navy, and conversion products in Asia-Pacific region. DSA includes a specialized section and a conference devoted to equipment and advanced technologies for the medical service of armed forces.
Russia will participate as a single national exposition of 17 Russian enterprises, including 5 MTC entities such as FSUE Rosoboronexport, FSUE «PO UVZ, FSUE PO NPZ, ОАО Concern PVO Almaz-Antey, FSUE PO Kvant. Russian defense enterprises will present information about more than 490 MPP brands and introduce to participants and visitors of the Exhibition advantages, high combat capabilities, and reliability of the Russian weapons.
Under the Order of the FSMTC of Russia, the delegation led by FSMTC of Russia Deputy Director M.V. Petukhov, including officials of public authorities of the Russian Federation, and Heads of military-industrial enterprises, was seconded to support a consolidated participation of our companies in the Exhibition. During DUBAI-2007, a press conference will be conducted by the Russian delegation.
Asia-Pacific arms market is one of the largest where Russia has strong military-technical relationships with many states, including Malaysia. Cooperation has mutually advantageous nature and maintained in strict conformity with internal legislations of the Parties.
Russia has been pursuing a long-term, productive and mutually advantageous cooperation, excluding intervention in internal affairs of partner states. The principle of mutual relations at the state level involving relevant authorized structures determines all MTC-related issues. Military-technical cooperation between Russia and the Asian-Pacific countries, largely, contributes to the regional stability, peace and security.
The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia views the DSA 2008 as important stage in development and strengthening of the military-technical cooperation, and associated business ties between Russia and its foreign partners.
