Africa Aerospace & Defence 2012, Africa’s largest aerospace, defence, and security exhibition, will be held at the Air Force Base Waterkloof, Tshwane (outskirts of Pretoria), Republic of South Africa, from 19 to 23 September.

The Exhibition will feature military and civil aircraft, fire control complexes and systems, military shipbuilding, ammunition, anti-aircraft missiles.

According to the organizers of an exhibition, 296 companies from 30 foreign states are expected to attend the Exhibition.

The largest expositions will be displayed by the Republic of South Africa (87 companies), the United States of America (37 companies), China (25 companies), Russia (19 companies), France (17 companies), the United Kingdom (17 companies), Germany (16 companies).

Arrival of official delegations from 45 states is expected.

Russian Federation has been an all time participant of Africa Aerospace & Defence 2012 since 2000.

The Russian delegation headed by FSMTC of Russia Director A.V.Fomin will officially represent the Russian Federation at the International Conference and exhibition of aerospace, defence, and security for all types of armed forces Africa Aerospace and Defence 2012.

The area of the Russian exposition in the Pavilion will be 300 sq. metres. Besides, in the open area, NPK Uralvagonzavod OAO will debut with upgraded versions of T-72 main battle tank with a fire control system fitted with heat imaging sight of foreign manufacture and a tank support combat vehicle.

An upgraded Т-72 tank will be demonstrated at the mobile training grounds of the Exhibition.

Military purpose products (407 exhibits, 10 of which are full-scale versions) will be displayed by 11 companies, including Rosoboronexport OAO (Moscow), FSUE GNPP Bazalt (Moscow), FSUE NIMI (Moscow), etc.

3D-version of land and aviation materiel will be shown on the large-format screen of the interactive Expocentre of Rosoboronexport OAO.

The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation expresses hope that the International conference and exhibition of aerospace, defence, and security for all types of armed forces Africa Aerospace and Defence 2012 will enable to strengthen business relations between Russia and foreign partners in the military and technical area.
