The Farnborough International Airshow 2014 to be held from 14 to 20 July 2014 in Farnborough, Great Britain. The main topics are aircraft of all types and purposes, aviation and space engines, space vehicles and satellites, development and manufacture of aircraft, components and materials for aerospace sector, airport facilities, repairs and maintenance of aviation equipment, aircraft of historical value, weapons, avionics and ground equipment, developments in the area of space research, radars and surveillance systems.
The Exhibition has been held since 1948.
In 2014, more than 1,000 companies from 37 countries announced their participation. The total area of exposition in pavilions and out of doors is 100,000 sq. meters.
10 national pavilions will be organized by Belgium, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Sweden.
The largest expositions will be presented by the United Kingdom (339 companies) and the United States of America (294 companies).
According to the organizers, during the flying program and at a static display, the samples of military and civil aircraft will be demonstrated by 10 countries: Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Qatar, Russia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
The Russian Federation has been participating in the Exhibition since 2008.
This year, the Russian exposition will occupy 1,738 sq. meters and involve the stands of 74 organizations, 16 of which will exhibit military-purpose products (further – MPP), including 7 military-technical cooperation affiliated entities: JSC “Rosoboronexport”, Company “Sukhoi”, PJSC “RAC “MiG”, OJSC “IL”, JSC “OPK “Oboronprom”, FSUE “GTE RPC “Salut”, JSC “PA “UOMP”, and others. Totally, information about 91 MPP samples will be presented in a form of promotional materials.
JSC “UAC” is going to demonstrate the sample the Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 short-haul aircraft.
The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation expresses hope that the Russian participation in the Farnborough International Airshow 2014 will facilitate strengthening cooperation and business ties in the sphere of military-technical cooperation with foreign partners.
