FEDERAL SERVICEFOR MILITARY-TECHNICAL COOPERATION(FSMTC of Russia)
From 23 to 26 September 2009, Beijing (China) will host the International Aviation Exhibition “AVIATION EXPO CHINA 2009”.
The Exhibition will be organized by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China under the auspices of the Defense Ministry of the People’s Republic of China.
The International Aviation Exhibition “AVIATION EXPO CHINA 2009”, a biennial event, has been held since 1989. It is one of the world’s largest and representative platforms to demonstrate achievements of the aviation industry. Civil & military aircrafts, rocket manufacturing, air traffic control systems, and navigation systems are key topics of the Exhibition.
Russia’s participation in the Exhibition aims at assistance in development of trade and economic relations with the People’s Republic of China within the investment and cooperation framework.
In 2009, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is the Organizer of the Russian exposition.
Military-purpose products will be displayed by 4 Russian defense industry enterprises, such as the Mil-named Moscow Helicopter Plant, the Ulan-Ude Aircraft Plant, the Kamov Firm, and Rostvertol (Rostov helicopter plant).
Stands of enterprises displaying mockups, commercials, booklets, and catalogues will present information about more than 100 exhibits of military-purpose products.
The following business events will be conducted during the Exhibition:
Press conference by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).
Press conference by the Boeing Company.
Press conference by the Airbus Company.
The first Beijing International Aviation Summit (BIAS) will take place concurrently with the 2009 Expo, and it is expected to be attended by more than 200 senior officials and decision-makers, engineers and technical specialists from the Transport Ministry, the Public Security Ministry, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), the General Equipment Department, CAAC, COMAC, AVIC, Research Institutes designing aviation equipment for the China Air Force (CAF), the China Navy, and general purpose equipment, which are located in the southern and north-eastern regions of China.
An official representing the Rostekhnologii State Corporation in Beijing will conduct a number of negotiations on military and technical cooperation.
The Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation of Russia views the International Aviation Exhibition “AVIATION EXPO CHINA 2009” as important stage in development and strengthening military and technical cooperation, and associated business ties between Russia and its foreign partners, and, first of all, Asia-Pacific states.
