International naval exhibition NAMEXPO 2013 to be held for the first time in Kochin (state of Kerala, India) from 23 September to 27 September 2013. The purpose of the exhibition is to study cutting edge design and production technologies of arms and military vehicles for the navy, and attract foreign and national companies to implement the program for the Indian navy build-up. The organizers of the exhibition also hope to encourage interest of both foreign and indigenous firms in developing the Indian navy.

More than fifty leading Indian and foreign arms manufacturers, including the U.S., the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Israel, are expected to participate in the exhibition.

Indian participants will include the Organization for Defence Research and Development (DRDO), the Ministry of Defence, state-owned companies, such as Bharat Dynamics Limited, Bharat Electronics Limited, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, as well as other private companies.

The business agenda will include an international conference on developing naval aviation, including unmanned aerial vehicles, avionics, marine radar systems, and various types of equipment for offshore platforms.

Rostechnologii State Corporation is the organizer of the exhibition. Rosboronexport OAO will display 245 exhibits of military products.

Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation expresses its hope that NAMEXPO 2013 International naval exhibition will help strengthen business relations between Russia and foreign partners in the military and technical cooperation.
