International Forum Technologies in mechanical engineering 2012 will be held from 27 June to 1 July 2012 at the Russia Transport-Exhibition Complex (Zhukovsky, Moscow Region).
Its purpose is to demonstrate achievements of the Russian mechanical engineering industry, boost investments and technologies providing support and strengthening its research and engineering potential, first of all, of companies of the defence industrial complex.
Sponsors are the Industry and Trade Ministry of Russia, FSMTC of Russia, and Rostekhnologii State Corporation. The Organising Committee is headed by Industry and Trade Minister of the Russian Federation D.V.Manturov. Co-chairmen of the Organising Committee are FSMTC of Russia Director A.V.Fomin, and Deputy Director General of Rostekhnologii State Corporation D.E. Shugaev.
The total display area will occupy more than 11.6 thousand sq. metres in pavilions and more than 8 thousand sq. metres in the open space.
198 Russian companies, displaying 1 226 military purpose products, will take part in the Forum. 93 of them not included in the list of MPP authorized for transfer to foreign customers will be shown under the order of the President of the Russian Federation.
21 foreign companies from 10 foreign states (Austria, Armenia, Belarus, Germany, India, Italy, China, Singapore, Ukraine, and France) will participate in the Forum.
Demo program will be arranged by the Defence Ministry of Russia. 10 military vehicles will take part in the display at the TVK Russia OAO training facility: two Т-90А tanks, two Т-80U tanks, 2 BTR-80 armoured troop carriers, BMP-3 infantry combat vehicle, BREM-1 armoured recovery vehicle, MSTA 152 mm self-propelled howitzer fitted with the automated targeting and fire control system, and Т-34 tank.
Static display of 4.3 thousand sq. metres will display 27 vehicles from the stocks of the Defence Ministry, including the Iskander mobile ballistic missile system, S-300V anti-aircraft missile system, Buk-М1-2E anti-aircraft missile system, Tor-М1 anti-aircraft missile system, Т-72 upgraded tank, Т-90А tank, Т-80U tank, BMP-3, BREM-1, MSTA 152 mm self-propelled howitzer, Grad multiple launch rocket system, etc.
23 Russian vehicles, including T90S upgraded tank, a tank support vehicle (NPK Uralvagonzavod OAO), Smerch MLRS, and Nonna-M1 Mortar (Motovilikhinskiye Zavody OAO), Tigr SPM-2 special-purpose police vehicle (AMZ ОАО), KAMAZ-43269, KAMAZ -5350, KAMAZ З-62224 (KAMAZ ОАО), etc. will participate in the demo program:
Ural Vehicle Plant ОАО will debut with the Ural 6370 truck tractor.
KBP OAO will also debut with Pantsir-1S wheeled air defence missile gun system, simulator of Kornet-EM anti-tank guided missile system, a set of means for automated troop control of Kornet-EM self-propelled anti-tank guided missile systems.
Grenade launchers will be shown at the Bazalt training grounds in Krasnoarmeysk.
Small arms will be displayed at TSNIITOCHMASH in Klimovsk.
The Forum will be opened with a plenary session: «High technologies are determinants for a sustainable development of advanced mechanical engineering of national economies».
The business agenda will include more than 20 events to be attended by about 3 000 representatives of 78 Russian and 7 foreign companies.
The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation expresses hope that the International Forum Technologies in Mechanical Engineering 2012 will promote advance of mechanical engineering and defence industries in Russia, expansion of international cooperation and military and technical cooperation, and attraction of investments into Russian high technologies.
