Session of the Belarus-Russian intergovernmental commission was held from 11 September to 14 September 2012 in the Brestskaya Oblast, Republic of Belarus

The thirteenth session of the Belarus - Russian intergovernmental commission on military-technical cooperation was held in the Brestskaya Oblast (Republic of Belarus) from 11 September to 14 September 2012.

The session was attended by Belarus and Russian members of the Commission, officials of ministries, agencies, and organisations of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

The participants of the session concluded that the Parties proceeded to the implementation of the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus for development of the military-technical cooperation dated 10 December 2009, and contracts for delivery of military-purpose products (‘MPP’) for the benefit of both of the armed forces were concluded and are implemented.

The following items were discussed:

On improving legal and regulatory framework of the military-technical cooperation,

On MPP deliveries,

On dialogue relating to sales of Russian equipment to customers,

On integration of Belarus enterprises into the Russia defence-industrial complex,

On wider list of participants of the international financial and industrial group Oboronitelnye Sistemy.

The Session made decision on holding a conference of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation in the Russian Federation in 2013.

The Parties confirmed their mutual interest in further development of military-technical cooperation between Russia and Belarus.
