On PARIS AERO SHOW 2011
49th International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget organized by GIFAS will be held 20 - 26 June.
This is a biennial Show originated in 1909. It is worth noting that this year’s Show coincides with the 50th anniversary of the first manned space flight.
Attendance was confirmed by more than 2,000 participants from 44 countries, including Austria, the United Kingdom, Germany, India, Italy, Canada, China, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, the USA, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Sweden, Southern Africa, etc.
This year, the Show focuses on airport infrastructure, aircraft maintenance, re-equipment of their cabins, and training of crews.
140 civil and military planes, most of which will take part in demo flights, including Be–200 amphibious aircraft, and a Russian made Superjet 100 regional passenger jet, will be displayed to visitors.
The Exhibition will be visited by 205 official delegations from more than 80 countries.
The State Corporation Rostekhnologii is the organizer of the Russian exposition.
It is an unprecedented Russian exposition covering 1,700 sq. metres.
Participation of the Russian companies in the Show is an opportunity to demonstrate a strong potential of MIC enterprises in developing and manufacturing combat aircraft, equipment and arms systems, space technologies, and launching space vehicles.
59 Russian companies, 27 of which show military purpose products, will participate in the Show. Uralsky - Mechanical Plant OAO presents its new product - SMS-831 small-sized monitoring and air patrolling system used for civil purposes.
The Russian Federal Space Agency (Roskosmos) will display products of 10 space industry enterprises, including Energiya Rocket-Space Corporation OAO, FSUE Khrunichev-named State Research and Production Space Centre, FSUE Centre for maintenance of ground space infrastructure, etc. A model of the launch system of the Soyuz-ST carrier rocket in the French Guiana is among most eye catching exhibits.
Along with the leading world aircraft building companies, two Russian enterprises - OPK OBORONPROM ОАО, and Sukhoi Company ОАО - will display their products in the pavilion to be visited by the French leadership on the exhibition opening day .
A Russian delegation at the International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget will be headed by FSMTC of Russia Director M.A. Dmitriev.
As part of a business visit to France, Chairman of the Russian Government V.V. Putin, and the Defense Minister A.E. Serdyukov will visit the Show.
The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation expresses hope that the International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget will be an opportunity for foreign companies to get more information on Russian developments, and Russian enterprises to strengthen beneficial international cooperation in interests of upgrading MIC, and business ties in the area of military and technical cooperation.
