On 21 September - 25 September 2010, the International Conference and Exhibition of arms and military equipment for all types of armed forces AFRICA AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE will be held at the Air Force Base Ysterplaat (Cape Town, the Republic of South Africa).
Exhibition subjects cover military aircraft, weapon control systems, military shipbuilding, ammunition, and air defense missile systems.
The Exhibition is sponsored by the South African Air Force, South Africa's Aerospace, Maritime and Defense Industry Association, the Armaments Corporation of South Africa, and the South African Civil Aviation Association.
Exhibition area is 33,000 sq. m.
Exposition will be displayed in 9 pavilions. The exhibition agenda includes demonstration of combat materiel capabilities on a specially equipped range and aircraft flights, including the Ansat helicopter (OAO Kazan Helicopter Plant).
More than 300 companies from 31 countries will take part in the Exhibition.
The largest exposition will be presented by the Republic of South Africa (166 companies).
Among traditional participants of the Exhibition are Germany (27 companies), the USA (24 companies), China (16 companies), and Russia (19 companies), the UK (13 companies), and India (12 companies).
The Russian exposition will be located in Pavilion No. 11 of 200 sq. m; the Russian Technologies (Rostekhnologii) State Corporation is its organizer.
Twenty-one Russian organizations will take part in the Exhibition, 15 of them (including 2 MTC-affiliated entities, such as the Russian Technologies (Rostekhnologii) State Corporation, and OAO the United Industrial Corporation Oboronprom) will present military purpose products.
One hundred and nine MPP versions, including 4 full-scale versions (optical systems for small arms and a VK-2500 turboshaft engine with a container for a Ka-28 helicopter), are to be offered for display.
The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation expresses hope that participation of Russia in the International Conference and Exhibition of arms and military equipment for all types of armed forces AFRICA AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE will promote stronger cooperation in MTC, and associated business ties with foreign partners.
