LAAD 2013 Security, the International Exhibition for Public and Corporate Security, takes place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on April 9-12, 2013. The exhibition has been held since 1997 with support of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Brazil. Exhibition subjects are civil and military aviation and space vehicles, arms and military vehicles of the Air Forces, ADMS, the Navy, telecommunication troops, and land forces.
According to the organizer, representatives of more than 95 countries of the Middle East, Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa will visit the exhibition.
More than 500 companies from 32 states are expected. The largest expositions will be presented by Brazil (89 companies), the United States of America (71 company), France (38 companies), Germany (25 companies), and Italy (25 companies).
To represent officially the Russian Federation at the Exhibition, the delegation headed by Director of FSMTC of Russia A.V. Fomin was formed. The delegation is composed of representatives of leadership of MTC entities and other defence enterprises.
Rostechnologii State Corporation is the organizer of the Russian exposition. The exposition is formed taking into account requirements of Latin American countries for particular types of arms and military vehicles.
770 sq.m (Pavilion № 4) will be occupied by exposition of 19 Russian organisations, including 6 MTC entities (Rosoboronexport OAO, Instrument making design office ОАО, Almaz-Antey PVO Concern ОАО, Sukhoi Company OAO, RSK MiG OAO (Moscow), NPO Bazalt OAO (Moscow)), including models, replicas and other advertising materials about 399 exhibits.
Press conference of the official Russian delegation is expected to take place on 10 April.
Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation expresses hope that LAAD 2013 Security, the International Exhibition for Public and Corporate Security, will help develop and strengthen cooperation and business relations between Russia and foreign partners, first of all, states of Latin America and Caribbean basin.
