The International Special Operations Forces Exhibition will be held 10-13 May 2010 in Amman (Jordan).
Exhibition subjects: arms, military vehicles, equipment and facilities designed for special operations.
30 states such as Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, the UK, Germany, Greece, Denmark, India, Jordan, Spain, Italy, Canada, China, Lebanon, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, the United States of America, Turkey, France, Czechia, Sweden, Switzerland, South Korea, have confirmed their participation in the Exhibition.
Exposition totaling 70 000 sq. m will be displayed in pavilions and in the open air.
Official applications were submitted by more than 250 manufacturers from different countries, including General Dynamics UK Limited (UK), Lockheed Martin Corporation, BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman Corporation Information Systems, Raytheon (USA), Eurocopter (France), SAAB (Sweden), and Dupont International Operation (Switzerland).
The Russian exposition of 135 sq. m will be sponsored by the State Corporation Rostekhnologii.
10 Russian companies, including 5 MTC entities, will take part in the exhibition (the State Corporation Rostechnologii, FSUE Rosoboronexport, FSUE State Research and Production Enterprise Basalt, FSUE PO Novosibirsk Instrument Making Plant, FSUE State Research and Production Enterprise Splav).
8 Russian companies will present 178 exhibits of military purpose products, including 10 full-scale versions.
The information about TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system (FSUE GNPP Splav) will be presented for the first time at the exhibition in Jordan.
The Federal Service for Military-Technical cooperation views participation in the International Special Operations Forces Exhibition SOFEX-2010 as important stage in development and strengthening military-technical cooperation, and associated business ties between Russia and its foreign partners.
