20 - 24 February 2011, Abu-Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) will stage the Tenth International Defense Exhibition and Conference IDEX 2011.
Key thematic sections of the Exhibition include equipment of Land, Air, and Navy Forces, as well as AD systems. The exhibition area will be 108,000 m2.

The Exhibition will host more than 1,000 companies from 49 countries displaying prospective defense technologies, systems, and equipment in 31 national pavilions.

150 official delegations from 97 countries are expected to arrive.

The largest expositions will be presented by the United Arab Emirates (120 companies), the USA (60 companies), the United Kingdom (60 companies), France (40 companies), Russia (37 companies), Germany (30 companies), Italy (12 companies), China (13 companies), and India (8 companies).

IDEX 2011 will feature the Middle East Naval Defense, Coastal, and Maritime Security Exhibition NAVDEX 2011, exhibiting the latest technologies in shipbuilding, marine weapons, counter-piracy systems, and safety of a coastal zone and communications.
The port area will be used for display of Naval fighting ships from the United Arab Emirates, the USA, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and India.

Russian organizations will take part in the Exhibition according to FSMTC of Russia Order dated 6 July 2010 № 98-od.

The Rostekhnologii State Corporation is the organizer of a joint Russian exposition to cover the area of 650 m2 in Pavilion № 9.

Military purpose products will be exhibited by 33 Russian defense enterprises, including 10 MTC-affiliated entities such as Rostekhnologii State Corporation, FSUE Rosoboronexport, OAO PVO Almaz-Antey Concern, FSUE GNPP Bazalt, FSUE FNPC Pribor, OAO VPK NPO Mashinostroeniye, SUE KBP, FSUE GNPP Splav, OAO NPK Uralvagonzavod, and FSUE PO NPZ.

Enterprises will showcase 50 full-scale MPP versions (a sniper system 6S8, an optical sight PAG-17 to AGS-30 30-mm automatic grenade launcher, optical and collimator sights to small arms, etc.) Advertising materials will include information about almost 700 MPP versions.

To produce a convincing demonstration of Russian arms and military vehicles, FSUE Rosoboronexport will use for the first time an interactive exhibition system based on the latest 3D modeling and visualization technologies. A large-format panoramic screen will allow visitors to have experience of real combat events.

The Russian Federation will be officially represented at the International Defense Exhibition and Conference IDEX-2011 by a Russian delegation headed by FSMTC of Russia Deputy Director M.V.Petukhov.

During the exhibition, the Head of the Russian delegation and Chief of Staff of the UAE armed forces Lt. General Hamad Al Rumaithi will conduct negotiations.

The exhibition will be visited by a delegation of the Russian Defense Ministry headed by First Deputy Defense Minister V.A.Popovkin.
On 20 February 2011, the joint Russian delegation will hold a press conference.

Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation expresses hope that participation in the International Defense Exhibition and Conference IDEX 2011 will enable to develop and strengthen cooperation and business relationships between Russia and foreign partners in MTC, primarily, Middle East countries.
