INFOPOL 2009, the international professional fair for police, surveillance and security services equipment, is set to be held April 20 through 22, 2009, at Kortrijk Xpo (Belgium).
The Fair is expected to be attended by 171 companies manufacturing equipment for police, surveillance, and security services from 18 states (Belgium, Benin, Butane, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain, the UK, the USA, and Switzerland).
To ensure consolidated participation of the Russian Federation in INFOPOL 2009, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation created a Russian delegation headed by B.V. Kalenov, Deputy General Director of FSUE Rosoboronexport. The Russian exposition sponsored by the Rostekhnologii State Corporation will cover the area of 96 sq. m displaying 87 MPP-related items offered for police and counter terrorist units to perform their tasks, including information about various versions of hand-held and man-portable antitank grenade launchers, small arms, aircraft, and armored vehicles.
The Russian Exposition offers facilities of a small arms trainer that allows simulation of fire from various Kalashnikov assault rifle modifications and the PM pistol conducted both indoors and outdoors at a distance of 5 – 1,000 m.
The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation hopes that the International Trade Fair for the Police, Surveillance and Security Services “Infopol 2009” will help develop and strengthen military-technical cooperation and associated business relationships between the Russian Federation and its foreign partners.
