From 11 to 15 February 2009, Bangalore (India) will be the venue of the International Aerospace Exhibition “AERO INDIA 2009” sponsored by the Indian Defense Ministry, the Government, and the Confederation of Indian Industries.
The International Aerospace Exhibition “AERO INDIA – 2009” will be held for the seventh time, and it is an international largest and most representative exhibition to display successes in the aerospace industry. Key subject-matters are military aircraft hardware and armaments; aircraft construction, and civil aircraft equipment.
The Russian Federation will take part in the Exhibition according to the Order issued by FSMTC of Russia dated 30 May 2008. The exposition is sponsored by the Rostekhnologii State Corporation.
Key goals for Russia to participate in the Exhibition are to strengthen Russian-Indian military and technical cooperation, promote local aircraft hardware in the world market, establish and develop mutually beneficial contacts with foreign partners, maintain information exchange, and look for new opportunities to conduct joint developments.
The following leading Russian aircraft enterprises such as ОАО the Sukhoi Company, ОАО the Russian Aircraft Corporation (RSK) MiG, ОАО IL, ОАО the Irkut Corporation, ОАО the Nizhegorodsky Aircraft Building Plant Sokol, ОАО the Russian Helicopters, ОАО the Mil-named Moscow Helicopter Plant, FSUE PO UOMZ, ОАО the Chernyshev-named Moscow Machine Building Enterprise, etc. are among participants of the Exhibition.
The Russian exposition at the Exhibition will pursue the most promising areas of the military-technical cooperation between Russia and India. Stands of Russian participants will display all of an export-focused range of aircraft hardware, armaments, onboard equipment, and radio and electronic systems. A flight agenda of the Exhibition will include display of a double-seat multipurpose front fighter MiG– 35D. More than 140 exhibits of military purpose products will be exhibited at AERO India 2009, including 13 full-scale specimens, about 90 models, and replicas of weapons and military hardware.
Besides Russia, traditionally, India, the USA, Malaysia, France, Germany, the UK, and Israel display the largest expositions at the Exhibition. Significant expositions are also offered by China, Singapore, and Italy.
The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation views the International Aerospace Exhibition “AERO INDIA 2009” as important stage in development and strengthening military-technical cooperation and associated business ties between Russia and its foreign partners, and, first of all, with Asia-Pacific states.
