On ceremony of awarding winners of the annual National Prize “Golden Idea”. The annual National Prize “Golden Idea” (“the Prize) was established by the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation to encourage development and manufacture of state of the art competitive domestic arms and military hardware, and raise effectiveness of military and technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and foreign states.
The competition for the National Prize “Golden Idea” is held for the ninth time.
The “Golden Idea” Prize is to be awarded according to the Resolution of the Prize Sponsor Committee for merits and achievements in military and technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and foreign states for six categories:

1. For Contribution to Development of Military Purpose Products;
2. For Successes in Manufacturing Military Purpose Products;
3. Best Co-Contractor Enterprise;
4. For personal contribution, initiative and diligence in support of objectives of military and technical cooperation ;
5. For input in outreach on military and technical cooperation, promotional and information support to export materiel; and.
6. Young Talents – for achievements in military and technical cooperation, development and manufacture of arms and military hardware.
In 2009 (by 2008 results), 84 applications were submitted for the Prize competition. 9 December 2009, a final meeting of the Prize Sponsor Committee was held in FSMTC of Russia chaired by Director of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation M.A. Dmitriev. Among the winners of the Prize there are defense industry enterprises, their creative teams, and individual employees showing achievements in creating the newest models of competitive military purpose products, supplying arms and military hardware to new arms markets, and promoting stronger military and political footing of the Russian Federation worldwide. Diplomas of FSMTC of Russia, memorable gifts, and monetary prizes will be handed over to winners.
Winners of the National Prize “Golden Idea” will be awarded by Sergey B. Ivanov, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Government, Head of the Military and Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation Government, and Director of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation M.A. Dmitriev. A solemn ceremony will be attended by officials of the Russian Federation President’s Administration, the Staff of the Russian Federation Government, the Military and Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation Government, federal government authorities, Heads of MTC entities, design enterprises, and manufacturers of military-purpose products, and other high-ranking officials.

Prize Sponsors are FSUE Rosoboronexport, SОАО Russian Insurance Center, OAO Gazprombank, Vnesheconombank, and ОАО VTB Bank.
A ceremony of awarding Prize winners will be held in the President Hotel on 22 December 2009 at 17.00. Registration of a ceremony’s participants, including mass media representatives, will start at 16.00.
