3 – 5 December 2008, Bishkek hosted a regular meeting of the Joint Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Kirghiz Republic attended by stakeholder departments, agencies, and organizations of the two states.
The Russian delegation was headed by FSMTC of Russia Deputy Director K.N. Biriulin. The Kirghiz Party of the Joint Commission was headed by the Minister of the Industry, Power and Fuel Resources of the Kirghiz Republic I. A. Davydov.
The meeting discussed a current agenda of bilateral military-technical cooperation, ways of a further development of military-technical cooperation, and set up of joint productions of defense products.
Protocol was signed by the results of the meeting, outlining mutual understanding between the Parties on all issues proposed for discussion and intention of the Parties to further develop a military-technical cooperation.
