On 11 th International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition LIMA 2011
6 - 10 December 2011, the 11 th International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition LIMA 2011 will be held in the International Exhibition Centre in Langkawi, Malaysia, the world’s largest exhibition in the Asia-Pacific Region, showcasing defense technologies, and held biennially under the patronage of the Defense Ministry of Malaysia. The Exhibition will feature aircraft, air defence facilities, space technologies, naval vessels and weapons, programs for aircraft repair and upgrading, high-precision weapon control systems, drones, technical intelligence devices, trainers and training programs.
254 companies from 33 states are expected to participate in the Exhibition
The largest expositions will be presented by Malaysia (130 companies), Australia (20 companies), Russia (17 companies), the USA (14 companies), France (13 companies), Turkey (13 companies), Germany (11 companies), the United Kingdom (10 companies), Italy (9 companies).
46 full-scale aircraft versions, including MiG-29, Su-30МКМ combat aircraft, Мi-17, Мi-171 helicopters in the service of the Malaysian Air Forces, etc. will be exhibited in the open air. 13 aircraft models will participate in demo flights.
Various types of warships and boats will be exhibited by Malaysia, Australia, and the USA.
Russian companies will be delegated to the Exhibition under Order of FSMTC of Russia dated 6 July 2010 № 98-оd.
The Organizer of the Russian exposition of 390 sq. m is the Rostekhnologii State Corporation.
Export products will be offered by 17 Russian companies, including 7 MTC-affiliated entities: Rostekhnologii State Corporation, Rosoboronexport OAO, Sukhoi Company ОАО, MiG RSK ОАО, Almaz-Antey PVO Concern ОАО, SUE KBP, and КАО ОАО.
Military purpose products (300 exhibits) will be presented by 12 companies. Visitors can familiarise with the information about:
· Su-35, Su-30MK multi-role fighters, Su-32 fighter-bomber, MiG-29 SMT, MiG-29M, MiG-29M2 fighters family, MiG-29K carrier-based multirole fighter aircraft, and MiG-35;
· Multi-function helicopters - Mi-35M, К-50, Ka-52 fighting helicopters, Ka-31 radar picket helicopter, Mi-26 heavy military transport helicopter, Mi-28NE combat helicopter, Mi-171Sh military transport helicopter;
· Air defense systems – S-300VM Antey-2500, S-400 Triumf, S-300PMU2 Favorit air defence missile systems, Tor-M1, Buk-M2E and Tor-M2E missile systems, Tunguska M-1 self propelled air defence system, Pantsir-S1 self-propelled anti-aircraft gun and missile system (SPAAGM);
· Small missile and patrol ships, multi-purpose boats, submarines, air cushion ships.
The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia views the International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition LIMA 2011 as important stage in development and strengthening of the military-technical cooperation, and associated business ties between Russia and its foreign partners, and, primarily, with Asia Pacific countries.
